USE CASE

New owner. New relationship opportunities. Same practice.

THE PROBLEM

Dental practice ownership changes are the highest-value sales trigger in the industry — a new owner needs a new CPA, a new IT vendor, often new equipment, and sometimes a new lab. But ownership changes are scattered across NPPES, state entity filings, and property records. No one monitors all three.

THE SOLUTION

DDSIntel fuses NPPES authorized official changes, state SOS member amendments, UCC-1 secured party changes, and property record transfers into a single ownership-change event — ranked by deal probability and classified by change type.

From signal to first call.

  1. 01 Multi-Source Monitoring

NPPES, state SOS filings, UCC-1 records, and county property records are monitored in parallel for the same practice entity — catching ownership changes that appear on only one of the four vectors first.

  2. 02 Event Fusion + Classification

Change events from each source are correlated and classified: genuine transfer (Category A), family succession (Category B), or internal restructuring (Category C). Only Category A events trigger deal-priority alerts.

  3. 03 Deal Probability Scored

Each Category A event receives a deal probability score based on acquirer type, practice size, practice age, and historical transaction patterns for similar practices in that geography.

  4. 04 Alert with Context

You receive the alert with: prior owner, new owner, change type, deal probability score, practice profile, and suggested outreach angle — everything needed for a well-informed first call.

Questions about this use case.

How long after an ownership change does the alert fire?

In states with full SOS and NPPES coverage (Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, California), ownership change alerts typically fire within 24–72 hours of the first filing. The NPPES authorized official change is often the fastest signal — appearing within 24 hours; SOS member amendments in Florida appear in under 24 hours; other states within 48–72 hours.

Can I filter to only show ownership changes in my territory?

Yes. Filter ownership change alerts by state, county, zip code radius, metro, and practice specialty. You can also filter by the type of acquirer (DSO, individual dentist, private equity, or unknown) and by deal probability score threshold — so only high-probability ownership events reach your feed.
