What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Modern browsers also expose related storage primitives — localStorage and sessionStorage — that we treat the same way for the purposes of this policy.

Cookies help websites remember preferences (so you stay signed in), measure aggregate usage, and protect against abuse.

What We Actually Collect

DDSINTEL only sets two categories of cookies — essential cookies required for the platform to function, and first-party analytics cookies to measure aggregate usage.

We do NOT use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party marketing tags. All analytics are processed through our self-hosted PostHog instance running on our edge infrastructure — your usage data never leaves our network.

Specific cookies are listed in the "Cookies We Use" table below, with name, purpose, duration, and source.

Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies Required

These cookies are necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. They keep you signed in, protect against attacks, and remember basic preferences.

Analytics Cookies Optional

We use PostHog (self-hosted on our infrastructure) to understand aggregate usage patterns. No personal data is shared with third parties — analytics never leave our edge network.

Your Choices

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers let you refuse cookies, delete existing ones, or set an alert before one is stored.

Browser-specific controls: Chrome (Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies), Firefox (Settings → Privacy & Security), Safari (Preferences → Privacy), Edge (Settings → Cookies and site permissions).

Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in and using authenticated features. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect functionality but does prevent us from measuring aggregate usage patterns.

This page is a focused supplement to our broader Privacy Policy, which covers all data we collect — not just cookies. See the Privacy Policy for details on information we collect through forms, the Request Access wizard, API logs, and provider intelligence sources.
